POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of the position is to operate injection molding machine(s) in a highly automated production facility, creating plastic insulators, as well as inspecting, sub assembly, and packaging of products. This position is a key member of a great team that enables production.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

-Operate all machinery associated with production needs.

-Load and unload machines.

-Perform simple sub-assemblies.

-Quality inspecting all parts.

-Make boxes and package products.

-Maintain raw material supply to machines.

-Rotate between work centers on a daily basis.

-Keep equipment clean and maintain an orderly work center.

-Learn to operate automation and robotic equipment, in a clean, well-lit, air-conditioned manufacturing plant.

-Complete all employee training as well as participate in LEAN Kaizen events (E.g. 5S) and lean manufacturing education/training.

-Follow all safe work practices, work instructions, and policies.

-Participate in toolbox talks, town hall production meetings.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS

-Provide suggestions for improvement with company's Yellow Card Suggestion system.

-Hand and assembly skills.

-Plastic machinery knowledge is a plus, if not, candidate must be willing to learn equipment, automation, and robotics.

-Use of electric pallet jacks and other lift assisting equipment and/or the willingness to learn.

-Simple math.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

-Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 50 pounds.

-Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods during shift.

-Must be able to reach overhead, and crouch or squat intermittently.
