Job description

We Create Products and Brands That People Trust to Clean, Sanitize, and Protect Their Homes and Pools

When you join KIK Consumer Products, you’re joining a team that cares about the work we do and also about each other. We bring exceptional brands and products to consumers that help them protect the health and wellness of their families and the cleanliness of their homes and pools. We are committed to building a culture of performance driven by accountability, collaboration, and agility that enables timely fact-based decision-making and exceptional execution with unwavering ethics. As one of North America’s largest independent manufacturers of consumer products, KIK helps a large portfolio of brands and retailers bring their products to life.

Your Role at KIK

We are seeking a Blow Mold Operator II to join our 2nd Shift team at our Santa Fe Springs, CA facility (3:00 PM – 1:30 AM, Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts, with most Fridays per business need). In this role, your technical expertise and attention to detail directly impact product quality, customer satisfaction, and overall plant performance.

You will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain our Uniloy blow molding equipment — bringing machines from cold start to full production and ensuring every container meets quality specifications for weight, appearance, bottle depth, and color. You’ll be a versatile operator across the floor, supporting production flow through forklift operation, bagger operation, and cross-functional coverage as needed.

This is a role for someone who takes ownership of their equipment and their output. The ideal candidate is a technically strong, self-motivated operator who can troubleshoot problems independently and holds themselves accountable to quality standards without needing constant direction.

This position has an hourly rate of $25.88/hr plus a $0.25/hr shift differential. A union wage increase to $26.78/hr is scheduled for August.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate Uniloy blow molding lines, maximizing throughput and equipment performance from startup through end of shift.

  • Perform machine startups from cold condition to full production, ensuring all containers meet quality specifications before production runs.

  • Adjust weights and parison settings to maintain bottle quality and dimensional accuracy throughout the shift.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with leak detectors, cooling beds, and the molder itself — identifying root cause and implementing corrective action.

  • Conduct quality checks against established standards for bottle weight, appearance, depth, and color; document and escalate non-conformances.

  • Perform daily setup, preventive maintenance (PM), and bottle-size changeovers on all assigned equipment.

  • Operate sit-down forklift and bagger equipment as part of daily floor responsibilities.

  • Accurately record production output, downtime, and reject data.

  • Maintain blow mold equipment through proper cleaning and uphold 5S standards in the work area.

  • Follow and actively support all safety programs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • 2 or more years of direct blow mold operating experience — injection mold experience is not comparable and does not meet this requirement.

  • Hands-on experience with Uniloy molding equipment is strongly preferred

  • 1 or more years of experience with driving a Sit-down forklift required

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot blow mold equipment including leak detectors, cooling beds, and molder mechanical issues.

  • Knowledge of blow mold quality standards — ability to assess and speak to bottle weight, appearance, depth, and color as key quality indicators. PET experience is desirable.

  • Experience operating baggers preferred.

  • Electrical background preferred, with the ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

  • Self-motivated, accountable, and able to operate independently with a sense of urgency.

  • Team player who leads by example and contributes to a positive floor culture.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand verbal and written schedules, instructions, and requests in English.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours per shift).

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, including grasping, reaching, bending, and lifting.

  • Ability to lift up to 35–40 pounds regularly.

  • Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and conveyor systems.

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with variable temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to chemicals and chemical products.

**What You Will Get **

KIK offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. You can plan for your future with KIK's retirement savings options including employer match. KIK also recognizes the importance of continuing education and offers Education Assistance to our employees to encourage continued personal development and growth.
