Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Printing Machine Operator for a temp-to-hire role in Edison, NJ.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm
Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr. DOE
The candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining dry offset printing machines ensuring high-quality print results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

  • Run dry offset printing equipment efficiently, continuously checking output quality and machine operation during manufacturing runs.
  • Fine-tune equipment settings and resolve mechanical issues to maximize print quality and reduce operational delays.
  • Precisely formulate, measure, and blend inks in alignment with color accuracy standards and job guidelines.
  • Perform regular equipment upkeep, sanitation, and calibration to ensure printing hardware remains in peak working condition.
  • Work alongside staff to verify proper layout formatting, typography, and graphic positioning prior to production runs.

Requirements

  • Experience operating industrial printing machinery or wide-format printers within a production environment.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with proven skills in troubleshooting and fine-tuning equipment.
  • Understanding of color management concepts, prepress image preparation tools, and graphic design programs (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Familiarity with print advertising guidelines, typography rules, cutting methods, binding procedures, and paper handling techniques.
