Machine Operator
Locations: Richmond, VA | Chesterfield, VA | Ashland, VA | McKenney, VA | Prince George, VA | Petersburg, VA | Colonial Heights, VA and surrounding areas
Pay: $14.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on experience and position
Schedule: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts | 5- or 6-day workweeks | Some positions require weekend work
Job Description
We are looking for Machine Operators for a variety of manufacturing and production jobs throughout Central Virginia. The type of machine, experience needed, and daily responsibilities will depend on the position.
Some positions are entry-level and offer training, while others require experience operating specific equipment. We have opportunities for candidates with backgrounds in CNC machining, printing presses, KBA, Komori, press operations, packaging equipment, and other manufacturing machinery.
What You'll Do
Depending on the position, your responsibilities may include:
  • Operate and monitor production machinery.
  • Set up machines and make adjustments as needed.
  • Load materials into machines and remove finished products.
  • Follow work orders, job tickets, and production instructions.
  • Check products throughout the production process to make sure they meet quality standards.
  • Measure products and check for defects or other quality issues.
  • Make basic machine adjustments and report equipment problems.
  • Keep track of production counts and complete required paperwork.
  • Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Work with supervisors, coworkers, and maintenance to keep production running.
  • Help with other production duties when needed.
