Press Machine Operator

We are excited to share a new opportunity for a Press Machine Operator located in Milpitas! This position is highly sought after and might not be available for long.


Press Machine Operator Job Duties include:

  • Machine Setup & Calibration: Prepare, configure, and calibrate die-cutting or stamping presses based on work orders and blueprints. This includes installing proper tooling/dies and setting precise machine parameters.
  • Production Operations: Load, feed, and run raw converting materials (e.g., specialized adhesives, plastic films, rubbers, foams, and fabrics) through high-speed automated or semi-automated press machinery.
  • Quality Assurance & Inspection: Monitor output continuously to catch machine errors, material flaws, or alignment issues. Utilize precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and rulers to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose minor mechanical adjustments or material alignment issues on the fly to maximize production uptime and minimize material waste.
  • Material Handling: Safely transport raw materials and finished components across the production floor using pallet jacks, ensuring accurate tracking of inventory.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily operator-level maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to ensure reliable, long-term operation.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of total production counts, waste metrics, defect logs, and time tracking.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and OSHA regulations, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Press Machine Operator Preferred Skills include:

  • Knowledge of a 35-ton Hydraulic Press

  • Regulated Industry Experience: Previous background manufacturing parts under ISO 13485 (Medical Device) or IATF 16949 (Automotive) quality management systems.
  • Material Familiarity: Experience working with specialized technical materials such as EMI/RFI shielding, thermal interface materials, pressure-sensitive adhesives, or custom polymers.
  • Material Handling Certification: Licensed or experienced in operating forklifts or electric pallet jacks.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Understanding of 5S methodologies, continuous improvement processes, and waste reduction strategies.
  • Must have 1 year of previous work experience

Press Machine Operator Requirements may include:

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong hands-on understanding of manufacturing machinery, tooling setups, and mechanical operations.
  • Precision Measurement: Proficiency in reading a tape measure, ruler, and using precision instruments (calipers/micrometers) down to tight decimal tolerances.
