Job Description Summary
Fort Wayne Manufacturing Facility is seeking a skilled and reliable Press Operator to operate and maintain warm form machinery to produce high-quality precision parts according to specifications.
Job Description:
  • Set up, adjust, and operate forging press machines to produce metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine machine setup and production requirements.
  • Operating a forklift to load and unload materials into machines
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with press machinery.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
  • All other duties as assigned
