MRP is searching for passionate and agile Press Operator who is a problem-solver and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As a Press Operator in the Press Department, you will be responsible for supporting the Operations Team by setting up and operating a lithographic offset press, achieving a high-quality product in a timely manner. What will you do in this role?
  • Set up the Press machine at the beginning of the shift and perform all related tasks including pulling the job from the schedule, mounting printing plates, installing ink rollers as required.
  • Review job orders to set up or adjust the printing machine.
  • Direct the Press Feeder or Press Assistant on their responsibilities. 
  • Perform quality checks in full compliance with all requirements of the quality system. 
  • Perform routine maintenance including machine cleaning, roller maintenance (removing, cleaning and reinstalling), and preventative maintenance inspections of press. 
  • Communicate with office and production personnel to clarify job information, as required. 
  • Prepare press for change of shift or shutdown; performing all related tasks.

Basic Requirements:
  • Lead the press team, on your designated press, with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Possess an ability to work as a team with the Press Assistant and embrace how your job impacts the whole team.  
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to accept feedback and use it to grow in your position.
  • Must have basic computer skills or the ability to learn basic skills.
  • Demonstrate some experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Must fulfill the following training and testing requirements: Load Turner Operation (test with passing score required); Motorized Hand Truck Operation (test with passing score required); Press Operation; Quality System Orientation.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior experience running a press machine KBA preferred 
  • GED or High School Equivalent

The physical requirements and work environment: 
 Work exclusively in the production area with exposure to elevated noise levels throughout work shift. Pedestrian employees share the production floor with powered industrial trucks (clamp and narrow aisle reach trucks and powered pallet jacks), caution must be exercised.  This job requires you to stand and walk the majority of your day.  Bending, sitting and squatting are required when fixing certain equipment.
Employees must be open to working any shift.
