Job Title: Press Machine Operator
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Shift: Monday - Friday (6am - 4pm)
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $23.00
Location: San Antonio, TX (Northside)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Press Machine Operator to operate and monitor flexographic printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and previous experience operating flexographic presses in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor the press machine safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and prepare the press for production runs, including loading materials, installing plates, and adjusting machine settings.
  • Mix, load, and monitor inks to ensure proper color and print quality.
  • Adjust registration, pressure, speed, and other machine settings as needed.
  • Inspect printed materials throughout production to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Perform routine quality checks and make adjustments to correct print defects.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic mechanical or operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records.
  • Change rolls, plates, inks, and other materials as required.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and production standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, and quality problems to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
  • Meet production schedules and daily performance goals.


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on machine operation experience 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow production specifications and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, or other measurement tools is a plus.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, and move materials.
  • Ability to work around machinery, inks, and manufacturing equipment while following required PPE and safety procedures.
