Description

Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking to join our team as a Forklift Operator? This vital role involves efficiently moving full pallets of products from production lines, facilitating material transport, and assisting with various operational tasks by operating a forklift. This is a day shift position, working 7am - 7:30pm on a 2-2-3 schedule.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

  • Safely operate a forklift to maneuver full pallets of product from production lines and place them in appropriate locations in the warehouse. 
  • Aid in operations in shipping of product which may involve scanning and staging finished product for loading. 
  • Ensure production lines are consistently supplied to maintain optimal production flow.
  • Complete end-of-shift tasks, including emptying trash hoppers and removing scrap from production areas.
  • Ensure proper tagging of all pallets before removing from lines. 
  • Maintain and fill out a daily forklift checklist before every shift. 
  • Assist with any other operations as directed for production needs, including duties off the lift.  

Requirements

 Qualifications: 

  • Must have forklift certification and be willing to obtain specific certification requirements as needed per company policies. 
  • Adhere to all safety standards and processes and consistently follow forklift safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a work pace appropriate to the workload to meet production goals. 
  • Able to walk, stand, and maneuver on uneven surfaces as needed.  
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. 
  • Able to work cooperatively in a team.
  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions with minimum Supervision.
