Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Entry level operator position. Works under the direction of an experienced operator and learns the various duties/responsibilities of bulk operators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Loading/Unloading trucks
  • Unloading railcars
  • Upkeep of work area to ensure clean and safe
  • Learn to gauge tanks
  • Learn to check temperatures on tanks
  • Learns pipe line-up to direct product flow
  • Learns to pull samples


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required. Semi skilled or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prefer if individuals have previously been in an industrial environment and are some what familiar with rules and procedures.
  • Must be able to read and understand technical manuals
  • Must have knowledge of plant operations
  • Must be able to communicate well with other supervisory personnel
  • Must be willing to take call at all times
  • Must have proficient computer skills


LANGUAGE SKILLS
An ability to read, analyze and interpret information. An ability to write reports and basic business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, customers and the general public.
