Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Senior Specialist to join our Greenville, TX team. This position is responsible for Requirements, Development Support, and Integration of Aircraft Capability Extension System (ACES) capabilities in support of multiple platforms and programs. Responsible for issue investigation and resolution. Responsible for submitting bid and proposals. Responsible for documenting status and issues in Jira/Confluence.

Essential Functions:

  • Considerable Systems or Software Engineering experience as a Subject Matter Expert working with Remote Operations.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge to write capability/product requirement specifications.
  • Able to work with customers, system engineers and system architects to develop requirements.
  • Ability to test and troubleshoot Remote Operator Interfaces in support of various platforms and programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with software developers to explain requirements and use cases when needed.
  • Ability to communicate within and outside the organization which includes customers or vendors.
  • Works with minimal supervision/oversight.
  • Experience working successfully independently and in a team environment through an entire build cycle
  • DoW clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance is a must.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant engineering experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum 4 years of prior related engineering experience.ย 
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum 10 years of prior related engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding systems engineering life cycle.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence and the Agile process.
  • Hands-on experience with RC-135 Operator Interfaces.
  • Security+ Certification.
