Job description

A fast-growing personal injury law firm in Houston is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its team. The ideal candidate will have strong personal injury experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage cases in a fast-paced legal environment. This role will support attorneys with case preparation, client communication, medical record organization, drafting, discovery, deadlines, and overall file management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with personal injury case preparation from intake through resolution
  • Manage case files, deadlines, records, correspondence, and documentation
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, discovery, demands, and correspondence
  • Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsel
  • Organize medical records, bills, evidence, and case materials
  • Track deadlines and ensure cases move forward efficiently
  • Support attorneys with litigation and pre-litigation tasks as needed
  • Maintain accurate notes and updates in the firm’s case management system

Qualifications

  • Personal injury paralegal experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures, case management, and client communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
  • Experience with legal case management software preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
