Job description

Top Personal Injury Law Firm in Irvine, California with a fast growing Litigation team seeking Litigation Assistants and Paralegals.. Please only apply if you have both Personal Injury Law and Litigation experience, and if you are currently living near our firm location.  Opportunity for advancement, as our firm prefers to promote from within. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
Requirements:
- Education: Paralegal certificate or J.D. student preferred, but not required.
-Prior Experience: 2+ years Litigation experience.
-Prior Experience: 1+ years Personal Injury Law experience.
- Strong knowledge in personal injury lawsuits
-Experience with filing complaints, draft and respond to discovery
-Familiar with One Legal filing system
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
-Work in Person only (Irvine, California)
Duties
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation -Draft personal injury lawsuits -File complaints, draft and respond to discovery
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation -Order processing service on Defendants
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel -Request medical records and resolve liens with medical providers
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and consistency
The ideal candidate works well in a team environment but also independently, can work in a fast- paced environment and manage a high volume of cases and workflow. Excellent communication and people skills, organized, focused, and time-management skills.
Compensation is competitive ($30 to $35 hourly). Pay rate will depend on experience, and there is opportunity for advancement within our fast growing Litigation team. Position is full-time (40 hours weekly). We offer benefits to our employees including paid sick days, vacation days, paid time off, and paid Holidays. Other benefits include a monthly Health Insurance stipend and 401k retirement savings plan. Overtime is available to our employees when needed, but not required.
