Job Description: Experienced Personal Injury Paralegal
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our boutique personal injury law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing plaintiff personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while providing outstanding client service. Candidate must be a self starter, be prepared to work in person, have a strong work ethic, seek stability and growth, and value team work.
Key Responsibilities
Manage pre-litigation caseload from intake through resolution.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, demand packages, subpoenas, and correspondence.
Order, review, organize, and summarize medical records and billing statements.
Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and third party providers.
Coordinate case scheduling, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
Maintain case calendars and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
Prepare settlement demand packages and assist with settlement negotiations.
Track liens and coordinate lien resolution.
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness coordination, and trial notebooks.
Maintain accurate case management records and document all case activity.
Provide compassionate and professional client support throughout the litigation process.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of plaintiff personal injury paralegal experience.
Thorough knowledge of personal injury litigation procedures and court rules.
Experience handling pre-litigation and litigation files.
Proficiency with case management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic filing systems.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance claims, and personal injury documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
Paralegal certificate preferred but not required with equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills
Experience preparing settlement demands valued at six figures or more.
Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and health insurance lien resolution.
Experience preparing mediation and trial materials.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to provide exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.
