Job description

PERSONAL INJURY ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Brooklyn law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to become a part of our team! The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice law in the state of New York and must be in good standing. Candidate should have strong negotiation, communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of personal injury law. This is an * in-person position.*

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of personal injury litigation, including but not limited to Labor Law, slip and fall, motor vehicle accidents
  • Evaluate the merits of a personal injury case
  • Provide guidance and counsel to clients
  • Ensure prompt action is taken on all cases
  • Review and monitor case facts to determine insurance coverage, case value and medical care
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
  • Negotiate settlements throughout all stages of a case
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
  • Research and legal analysis
  • Ability to professionally multitask and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Appear for court dates, including but not limited to motions and trials, depositions, arbitration, mediation in all counties

​​Qualifications:

  • At least five (5) years' experience as a plaintiff personal injury attorney
  • Familiarity with various legal documents
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary $180,000 - $300,000.

Job Type: Full-time
