Job description

Growing Personal Injury Law Firm in Brevard County, FL is looking to add a highly motivated Case Manager / Paralegal with at least 5 years of experience as a case manager or insurance adjuster with experience handling personal injury claims.

Starting day one, you will be expected to manage a full case load under the supervision of an attorney, and must be proficient in multi-tasking, negotiations, time management, organization, communication, and have the ability to interact with adjusters and clients on a daily basis

REQUIRED: Minimum five (5) years full time experience as a Plaintiff's case manager working personal injury claims OR INSURANCE ADJUSTING EXPERIENCE HANDLING BODILY INJURY CLAIMS. You will be responsible for, and MUST have minimum five (5) years of experience with the following:

  • Assisting with personal injury case screening, intake, and signup;
  • Processing new cases including opening cases, dealing with adjusters, clearing liability, answering questions and client follow up;
  • Experience and comfort in assisting attorneys with communications and case negotiations with insurance adjusters
  • Supervising and monitoring client treatment;
  • Assisting the attorneys in the direction and management development and processing of personal injury cases;
  • Ordering and timely obtaining client medical and billing records;
  • Reviewing medical and billing records and assisting with settlement document preparation;
  • Preparing medical summaries and chronologies; and
  • Providing litigation support, including interacting with clients, assisting with discovery preparation and responses, and trial preparation and participation.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE: (recommended)

**Experience as an insurance adjuster.

**Experience with settlement negotiations

**Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

**Experience with "Filevine" case management system is a BIG plus.

**Litigation experience is a BIG plus

**Trial Experience

Please note that good verbal and written communication skills are critical. You must be completely comfortable with the windows operating system and be computer savvy with strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Perfect and Microsoft Outlook.

You MUST be extremely well versed in Florida personal injury issues such as insurance coverage, property damage, liens, "paid and incurred" issues on medical charges, subrogation, liability and damage issues, etc. You will be required to "hit the ground running" and assist in management of a personal injury docket.

A degree is highly preferred.

This is a full-time position and includes benefits. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Please note that we will do a pre-employment criminal background check.
