Crouseโ€™s Finance team is hiring an Affiliate Payroll Processing Admin.ย 

Pay Range: $65,000.00 โ€“ $75,000.00 / annual
Schedule:ย Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
Affiliate Payroll Processing Admin Position Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule for Crouse Medical Practice, PLLC (CMP) by monitoring workflow, validating payroll data, and ensuring timely completion of all payroll cycles. Provide payroll processing support for Crouse Hospital as needed to ensure operational continuity.
  • Ensure employee compensation is processed in accordance with CMP and Crouse Hospital policies, applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and collective bargaining agreements, as applicable.
  • Balance payroll, taxes, deductions, garnishments, union dues, benefit contributions, charitable deductions, and other withholdings while preparing accurate payroll reports for Finance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate calculation, reporting, reconciliation, and remittance of all payroll taxes in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Research, resolve, and communicate payroll-related questions, discrepancies, and adjustments in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner for employees of CMP and, when assigned, Crouse Hospital.
  • Perform routine audits of payroll and timekeeping data within the Kronos Time and Attendance system to verify the accuracy and completeness of employee time records, pay calculations, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and maintain payroll tax filings, including quarterly Form 941 reporting, ensuring payroll tax liabilities and deposits are accurate and complete.
  • Process year-end payroll activities, including preparation, reconciliation, and distribution of employee Form W-2 statements and other required tax documents.
  • Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in accordance with organizational policies, audit requirements, and applicable record retention standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, internal controls, system functionality, and operational efficiency while supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of employee payroll information and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial and personnel data.
  • Collaborate effectively with Human Resources, Finance, departmental leadership, and external agencies to ensure accurate payroll processing, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.
  • Cross-train and provide payroll coverage and operational support for both Crouse Medical Practice, PLLC (CMP) and Crouse Hospital payroll functions as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by department leadership.

Affiliate Payroll Processing Admin Position Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years in Payroll processing in a mid to large size organization.
  • Experience processing payroll in a healthcare environment and working with unionized employees/collective bargaining agreements.
  • Proficient user of MS Office, Kronos and Lawson. Good understanding of state and federal wage and hour laws and tax regulation.
