Job description


Dan Cummins Auto Group is one of the most respected and fastest-growing dealerships in nation, proudly serving Central Kentucky and beyond with exceptional service, affordable pricing, and a massive inventory of new used vehicles. The Payroll Coordinator works alongside the Senior Payroll Administrator in the Department of Human Resources, coordinating payroll processing for multiple dealership locations. They ensure that payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.

This is a full-time hourly position includes the following comprehensive benefits:

Responsibilities

  • Assist HR Manager in developing and implementing HR-related policies, procedures, and initiatives that align with the organization's goals.
  • Assist with the Senior Payroll Administrator completing weekly payroll tasks.
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Manage complex dealership pay plans, including bonuses, commissions, draws, flat-rate technicians, and hourly and salaried employees.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and location managers. 
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and system issues in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile and prepare weekly 401k payments and contributions for specific stores.
  • Assist with reconciling Benefits, on a store by store basis.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with annual open-enrollment period, review summary materials, and communicate changes to employees.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Thorough knowledge  of employment related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Proficient with payroll software.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record. Must pass employment background and drug screenings.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

NETCHEX/DEALERTRACK EXPERIENCE would be preferable/ not mandatory.Â
