Job description

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the day to day payroll and time administration for Ready Mix , Cement and Prevailing Wage hourly employees.
Duties:
  • Review employee time sheets and automated time records on a daily basis.
  • Process Union and Non-Union Multi-State Payroll.
  • Support Sr. Operations Manager with various tasks and projects as required.
  • Generate weekly/Semi-Monthly Payroll Recon Reports.
  • Analysis of Garnishments, Set up and maintain to ensure accuracy and timely deposit and delivery.
  • Manually calculate and code hours to specific cost centers.
  • Process time records in accordance with established pay rules for non-union/union employees (10 bargaining agreements).
  • Follow up with supervisors for Time and Attendance approvals.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Maintain employee time-off records (vacation, sick, leaves of absence, etc.).
  • Provide customer service to employees and managers.
    Education:
  • High School Diploma and some college business course work required.
    Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years prior payroll experience.
  • 1-3 years multi-state union and non-union payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of State payroll rules and regulations for prevailing wage in CA, WA and OR.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, with proficiency in Outlook and Excel.
  • Accurate, efficient and timely completion of all payroll deadlines and cut-off periods.
  • Excellent analytical and written and verbal communications.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
    Preferred:
  • Union Payroll experience.
  • SAP/Payroll experience.
  • Construction industry payroll experience.
