Job description

2 days/week

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Prior experience with payroll and pension systems.
  2. Skilled in Excel, Office Suite, Google Suite, SchoolFi, Genesis.
  3. Be detail oriented.
  4. Have good organizational and communication skills.
  5. Be knowledgeable and efficient with financial programs, preferably systems such as SchoolFi or other school finance programs.
  6. A minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

JOB GOAL: 

Assist the Payroll Specialist with processing payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and pay. 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • File payroll  employee medical notes
  • Complete employee disability forms
  • Prepare payroll report from Frontline for substitute payroll
  • Process employee payments:  extra days pay, premium pay, overtime, extra hours for contracted aides, district substitutes, stipends, ESY program, etc.
  • In-house payroll upload direct deposit file, print checks, all reports and check registers
  • Pay Federal, NJ, NYS, PA taxes
  • DOENET FICA reimbursement
  • DCRP payment
  • Summer Savings maintain employee's yearly contributions
  • Maintain monthly payroll purchase order
  • Break down and double check payroll

Hourly Rate:  $27.36/hour
