JOB TITLE: Guest Services Associateย 

REPORTS TO: Guest Services Managerย 

FLSA STATUS: Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exemptย 

COMPENSATION RATE: $19.73 per hourย 

UNION: IATSE Local 750ย 

LOCATION: 170 N. Dearborn St. & 333 N LaSalle St., Chicago, IL 60601ย 

POSITION SUMMARY:ย 

The Guest Services Associate is an integral part of the Goodmanโ€™s front-of-house department at both the 170 N. Dearborn location as well as at the Theater of the Mind venue, located at 333 North Randolph. This position is responsible for operating the information desk at 170 N. Dearborn and providing customer service to all patrons and visitors at both locations. The Guest Services Associate greets and proactively anticipates the needs of guests and offers thoughtful solutions. This is a part-time position that requires regular evening and weekend hours.ย 

RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

  • Welcome all guests in a professional, friendly and engaging mannerย 

  • Identify and anticipate guest needsย ย 

  • Remain knowledgeable of all Goodman accessibility offerings.ย ย 

  • Answer guest inquiries about Goodman services, facilities, box office, and surrounding areaย ย 

  • Accurately log and deliver packages, mail, and messagesย ย 

  • Follow all security and safety policies and proceduresย ย 

  • Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assist as neededย ย 

  • Complete the opening & closing procedures of the facilityย ย 

  • Perform other duties as assignedย ย 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:ย ย 

  • Customer service-related experience in a high-volume setting preferred. Hospitality experience a plusย ย 

  • Must possess sophisticated verbal and communication skillsย ย 

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applicationsย ย 

  • Highly responsible and reliableย ย 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentย ย 

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilitiesย ย 

  • Ability to work stationary and active shifts depending on the type of shift (performance/non-performance)ย ย 

  • Ability to submit shift availability for at least three shifts per week (with at least one of those falling on a Saturday or Sunday performance)ย ย 

  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule (mix of day and evening shifts)ย ย 

  • Capable of moving deliveries of up to 50 lbs.ย ย
