Job description

Job Status:
Open - open and accepting applications
Duties and Responsibilities: Identifies, pilots, and establishes library programs for the Etowah community; promotes library services and resources at community events; assists patrons with using library resources and technology. This position also Performs programming and community outreach work for the Etowah Branch of the County Public Library system; performs related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision. Reports to Librarian III - Branch Coordinator.
Qualifications: Some knowledge of library techniques, systems, working tools, and procedures; ability to explain and use library tools and facilities; ability to explain and use digital library services; ability to maintain records and reports; ability to communicate effectively orally; ability to attend work regularly; excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.
Valid North Carolina driver's license required.
Pre-employment drug test and background checks required of finalist applicants.
