Position Summary

Arts Bonita seeks an energetic, positive, and highly organized Patron Services & Education Assistant to support patron services and educational programming across the organization. This position serves as a welcoming first point of contact for students, parents, instructors, patrons, and visitors while assisting the Director of Education and education staff with the daily coordination of classes, workshops, camps, performances, events, and educational programs.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable balancing front-facing patron service responsibilities with administrative and program support.
Key Responsibilities

  • Patron Services & Customer Service
  • Greet visitors, check in students and patrons, and direct them to classrooms, studios, and event locations.
  • Register students and patrons for classes, workshops, camps, memberships, performances, and special events.
  • Process payments and ticket sales in person, by phone, and by mail.
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and provide accurate information about programs, events, classes, and facilities.
  • Maintain accurate patron, registration, attendance, and payment records.
  • Provide excellent customer service and help resolve patron questions or concerns professionally.
Education Program Support

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Arts Bonita’s educational programs, including visual arts, performing arts, youth arts, camps, workshops, outreach programs, and special events.
  • Assist the Director of Education with administrative tasks, scheduling, communications, reporting, downloading rosters, special projects, and day-to-day departmental needs.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of classes, workshops, camps, rehearsals, showcases, exhibitions, performances, and educational events.
  • Prepare instructional materials, supplies, handouts, rosters, and program resources.
  • Assist with classroom and studio setup, supply organization, and communication of facility or equipment needs.
  • Maintain attendance records, class rosters, enrollment information, waitlists, evaluations, and program documentation.
  • Communicate updates, cancellations, and program information to students, parents, instructors, and staff.
  • Support instructor communication, onboarding, and program logistics as assigned.
  • Assist with community outreach, educational partnerships, and student engagement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and use various software programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Google platform
  • Experience with CRM, ticketing, registration, or database systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of CRM programs and QuickBooks is a plus; training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
