Operations Support Representative

Ritter Insurance Marketing

Harrisburg, PA

Ritter Insurance Marketing is an independent marketing organization supporting independent insurance agents in the senior health and life insurance market. Based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Ritter has satellite offices across the US. Ritter is a proud member of the Integrity Family of Companies.

Job Summary

Responsible for customer service particularly regarding backend customer support.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assumes responsibility for agent support.
  • Provides customer service to agents via phone, email and in person as necessary.
  • Follows up on Service Requests (SRs) as needed to track and handle agent issues.
  • Communicates with carriers to resolve agent issues.
  • Provides full circle customer service to verify agent issues are properly and thoroughly addressed.
  • Researches agents' statuses with carriers.
  • Navigates reports in Microsoft Excel
  • Assists in updating RAMS with certification/onboarding report information.
  • Assist agents with ordering supplies.
  • Assumes responsibility for various cross-training assignments.
  • Assists with processing contracting and licensing as necessary.
  • Assists with additional agent support as necessary.
  • Assists with New Business when necessary
  • Assumes responsibility for training new hires, temporary employees, and cross-training current staff as needed.
  • Assumes responsibility for miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
Primary Skills & Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of insurance and agent relationship.
  • Beginner-level working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • One year customer service experience and/or data entry experience.
  • One year experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Good communication skills, especially over the phone.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Good computer and typing skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude, ability to take directions, and ability to work well with others.
