Job Summary

Marketing and selling insurance products and services offered by Ritter Insurance Marketing and Chastain Agency to clients in the Cleveland, GA area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Selling insurance products to clients in the Cleveland, GA area.

  • Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients.

  • Complete application for insurance coverage with clients via either in-person or telephonic appointment.

  • Complete application for coverage with client on a pre-scheduled appointment.

  • Assume responsibility to fully understand and use all online services provided by Ritter Insurance Marketing and Integrity Marketing Group. This includes Medicare quote engine, Ritter CRM, Shop & Enroll, Agent Enroll, Ritter forums, and any carrier-specific online enrollment portals.

  • Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals and updates systems as needed.

  • Assumes responsibility for miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Primary Skills & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or higher preferred.

  • Must be licensed to sell health insurance in Georgia. May also be required to be licensed in additional states.

  • Must complete the Medicare AHIP and any carrier specific training.

  • Will be contracted through Ritter Insurance Marketing for all necessary carriers.

  • Basic understanding of insurance and agent relationship.

  • Basic understanding of Medicare and Medicare products.

  • Knowledge of marketing and new business operations and procedures.

  • Insurance sales and/or marketing experienced preferred.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • Good computer and typing skills.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Ability to meet the sales and production goals, as determined by management

  • Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including email, copy machine, scanner, fax machine, and telephone.

The Agent is expected to demonstrate the following core competencies:

  • Sales Motivation - the Agent will demonstrate a strong motivation to achieve positive results.

    • The Agent will explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans.

  • Service Delivery - the Agent will effectively deliver sales presentations to clients while maintaining and exceeding performance expectations.

    • The Agent will be able to listen and respond to clients' questions and make appropriate recommendations.

    • The Agent will effectively manage their customer pipeline through proper lead management.

    • The Agent will perform follow-up outreaches to customer inquiries.

  • Client Relationships - the Agent will provide initial and ongoing service, while demonstrating an understanding of the marketplace and the clients' changing insurance needs.

  • Job Knowledge - the Agent will maintain and update their knowledge of new products to pursue a program of development for personal and business skills.
