Shipping Associations are organizations that represent the interests of shipping companies, shipowners, or maritime professionals. They often work to promote safe and efficient shipping practices, provide industry guidance, and advocate for favorable regulations. These associations may also offer networking opportunities, professional development, and resources for their members. Examples include the International Chamber of Shipping and the Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO).

Professionals in a shipping association often navigate challenges such as coordinating between diverse stakeholders, keeping up with evolving maritime regulations, and addressing industry-wide concerns like sustainability and safety.
