It is the responsibility of the Shipping Associate II to work with the shipping team to ensure that all shipments are processed accurately, loads and carriers are booked and scheduled, and that on-time delivery metrics are maintained.
Responsibilities
  • Locate material and move to the appropriate area using a forklift
  • Prepare, review, and process all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments, ensuring timely dispatch of goods to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Manage and organize truck loads, including verifying load accuracy, weight distribution, and proper labeling prior to departure.
  • Communicate with carriers, drivers and internal departments to confirm pick up times, delivery schedules, and shipment status.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and update systems with real-time shipment information.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure correct products, quantities, and packaging standards are met.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or documentation errors in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, transportation guidelines, and company policies.
  • Provide support during audits by maintaining organized and accessible shipping documentation.
  • Track and report key shipping metrics, including on-time deliveries and load accuracy.

Qualifications
Experience & Education
  • 2-3 years warehouse experience required
  • Forklift experience required
  • Transportation Management System Experience required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel required.
  • Scan Gun experience required
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • ERP system experience preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
  • Will require heavy work (lifting greater than 30 pounds).
  • Machinery operation requires the use of safety PPE equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toe shoes, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted
  • Regularly required to stand or sit, and move about the facility. Ability to work at a computer.

Materials and Equipment Used: Will require proper coordination, and motor skills to work with power/hand tools as needed in addition to the use of a computer.
Tools: ERP Software, Label Machines, scales and printers.
