Job Overview & Essential Functions
Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for an Outside Parts Salesperson. The Outside Parts Salesperson develops and achieves maximum profitable sales volume of parts and labor services from assigned accounts in a designated territory. Analyzes customer operations to ascertain future parts, service and truck requirements.
  • Develops and achieves maximum sales volume consistent with realistic sales projections for assigned accounts focusing on parts and labor sales opportunities.
  • Oversees operations of assigned customers. Advises or assists them in such areas as inventory selection and control, service available, new products and services, etc.
  • Plans territory coverage. Calls upon key accounts (current and prospective) regularly. Takes orders, introduces new products and promotions, reemphasizes existing products and services and provide literature as necessary.
  • Completes customer call sheets weekly, stating summary of calls made.
  • Controls personal expenses within the approved expense budget and submits weekly expense reports.
  • Promotes all MHC product and service offerings including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier and Finance.
  • Investigates and refer customer complaints to the appropriate Department Manager and/or Branch Manager.
  • Assists, whenever necessary, the counter personnel with orders, deliveries, returns, inventory and other tasks as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
  • One-year automotive parts related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with the public in sales/service capacity.
  • Computer skills preferred.
