Job description

Best Line Equipment is currently seeking a full-time Parts Specialist to join our team at our Allentown, PA location. This position plays a critical role in supporting our service department, rental fleet, and customers by identifying, sourcing, ordering, and managing parts for a wide variety of construction, industrial, aerial, material handling, landscaping, and compact equipment.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technicians and customers, and utilizing their equipment knowledge to keep machines operating and minimize downtime. Experience with construction equipment, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, diesel trucks, industrial equipment, or related parts operations is highly valued.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist customers, technicians, and service personnel in identifying and sourcing the correct parts using equipment information, serial numbers, parts diagrams, and electronic parts catalogs.
  • Answer incoming calls and provide professional support to both internal and external customers.
  • Research, quote, order, and process parts requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support the maintenance and repair needs of the company's rental fleet by ensuring required parts are available when needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with equipment manufacturers and suppliers to ensure timely parts procurement and issue resolution.
  • Process parts sales transactions and provide solutions that meet customer equipment needs.
  • Receive, inspect, stock, and organize incoming inventory.
  • Assist with packaging, shipping, and receiving parts shipments to and from customers, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Maintain and monitor parts inventory.
  • Work closely with the service department to help minimize equipment downtime and improve overall satisfaction.
  • Assist service department with updating customers on equipment that is in for repairs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' experience in a parts, service, equipment, automotive, trucking, agricultural, industrial, or related environment.
  • Experience with construction, heavy equipment, diesel, agricultural, industrial, or material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand equipment systems and components.
  • Comfortable using computer systems, parts lookup software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact daily with customers and fellow employees.

Job Type: Full-time, hourly

Pay Range: $43,500 - $48,500 (based upon experience)
