Position Description
Division: Brannan Ready Mix
Position: RM Shop Parts Procurement
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
FLSA Status: Full Time
Location: Various Shops
Salary Pay Range: $25.00 - $32.00/hour
Position Summary
The Parts Procurement position is responsible for supporting fleet maintenance operations by sourcing, issuing, and managing parts for a construction fleet that includes heavy-duty trucks, light-duty trucks, and construction equipment. This role works closely with fleet technicians and supervisors to ensure timely availability of parts, minimize equipment downtime, and maintain accurate inventory control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct parts support to fleet mechanics and technicians
  • Identify, research, and issue parts for heavy trucks, light trucks, and construction equipment
  • Utilize OEM catalogs, parts software, and vendor systems to ensure accurate part selection
  • Order parts from approved vendors and track delivery timelines
  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages or backorders
  • Process cores, returns, and warranty claims
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety of parts storage areas
  • Communicate part availability and lead times
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Follow company policies and safety procedures

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in fleet, construction, heavy-duty truck, equipment, or automotive parts

  • Dependable and punctual

Preferred Qualifications
