Atlantic Tractor

Agriculture Parts Salesperson

Location: Whiteford, Maryland


Purpose:

This position is responsible for the selling of Agricultural (AG) parts to in person and phone in customers and

providing necessary parts to the service and sales departments and placing special orders for customers.


Responsibilities:

● Provide excellent customer service to the service department, customers at the counter or on the phone

● Meet or exceed monthly sales goals driving sales through Aftermarket promotions

● Responsibility for Inventory Integrity

● Educate and engage customers through product demonstrations and promotions

● Effective use of computer applications including: Sales Manual, JD Parts®, Parts Expert®, JD Point®, Parts Advisor®, barcode system and Dealer Business System

● Communicate, enforce, and monitor effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction

● Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service

● Routinely lifts items weighing up to 50 lbs

● Execute parts department standard processes

  • Supplies Ag Service Technicians with parts as required.

  • Work with multiple different vendors and strive to always find a solution for the customer even if it doesn’t readily present itself.

  • Verifies receipting-in or shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.

  • Assist in maintaining an orderly parts department

  • Shall be able to multitask while consistently maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

  • Be able to work as a team or independently.

  • Maintain a professional demeanor to ensure that the highest level of customer experience is attained.

  • Have a valid drivers license

  • Participation in monthly branch and company on call schedules as needed.

  • Additional duties as assigned.


Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

● 2+ years of Agriculture Parts experience preferred

● Experience connecting with customers, maintain professional image, establish rapport Demonstrated basic understanding of the selling processes

● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence.

● Experience using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet applications

● Experience working both independently and in a team setting

  • Experience with electronic parts catalogs preferred

● Demonstrates excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • High School diploma or equivalent



The starting hourly rate will be $20-$24
