A Partner Sales Director is a senior professional responsible for developing and managing relationships with business partners, such as resellers, distributors, or technology vendors, to drive sales growth. They create partnership strategies, negotiate agreements, and coordinate joint sales initiatives to achieve revenue targets. Partner Sales Directors often work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure partners are equipped and motivated to successfully sell the company's products or services. Their role is crucial in expanding market reach and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

How does a Partner Sales Director collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve revenue goals?

A Partner Sales Director works closely with both internal teams—such as marketing, product management, and sales operations—and external partners like resellers, system integrators, or technology alliances. Success in this role hinges on building strong, trust-based relationships, aligning sales strategies, and developing joint go-to-market initiatives. Regular coordination meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions are common to ensure that all parties are aligned on targets and opportunities. This collaborative environment fosters innovation and ensures that partner-driven sales initiatives contribute meaningfully to overall revenue objectives.

Job description

About Nabla

We are a team of entrepreneurs, clinicians and engineers committed to bringing back joy to the practice of medicine.

Together with a community of clinician innovators, we’ve harnessed the best of machine learning science to develop Nabla: the leading AI assistant that’s restoring the human connection at the heart of healthcare. By streamlining clinical documentation, Nabla is helping clinicians focus on what matters most - patient care. Today, over 100,000+ clinicians across 130+ healthcare organizations trust Nabla to support how they deliver care every day.

We’re at the start of an ambitious journey: Ambient listening, dictation, coding, and command capabilities are all converging into a proactive assistant that intuitively streamlines clinical and financial workflows.

Backed by a recent $70M Series C, we’re hiring to build the next generation of clinical AI and improve the lives of clinicians and patients everywhere.

This is a great time to join us!

The Role

To accelerate our growth, we are hiring a Partner Sales Director, who will focus on building net new reseller partnerships from the ground up. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of sales, partnerships, and strategy — and a chance to shape how AI is adopted across healthcare.

Responsibilities

Net New Partner Acquisition

Identify, target, and engage prospective partners that align with Nabla’s go-to-market strategy to determine the best partnership approach (reseller vs marketplace).

  • Own the entire sales cycle — prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing new partner contracts.

  • Build a strong pipeline of opportunities across EHRs and other healthcare technology vendors.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a strategic partner sales plan focused on new business generation.

  • Negotiate contracts to incentive fast adoption across their user base to improve initial revenue recognition for Nabla.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual net new partner sales targets.

Relationship Building

  • Establish executive-level relationships within partner organizations to secure long-term strategic alignment.

  • Position Nabla as a trusted partner by deeply understanding prospect needs and pain points to best determine the optimal partnership path.

Collaboration & Alignment

  • Work with Marketing to collaborate on lead generation campaigns targeting ideal partner prospects.

  • Work in tandem with the Partnerships Director to scope out strategic partnership rollouts and facilitate the handoff post contract signing.

  • Engage with Product teams to align Nabla’s roadmap to partner value propositions.

  • Collaborate with Legal and Finance to negotiate contracts that balance growth and adoption.

Market Intelligence

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and overall dynamics.

  • Provide feedback to leadership on market opportunities and partner needs to shape Nabla’s strategy.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years Experience in healthcare, health IT, and/or SaaS partnership sales.

  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and execute on strategic partnership opportunities.

  • Skilled negotiator who can create win-win outcomes.

  • Exceptional relationship-builder with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Creative problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.

  • Strong collaborator who can work effectively across teams and with executive stakeholders.

Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must be able to maintain authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship, now or in the future. For this role, the Company is not able to sponsor, transfer, or extend employment-based visas or other work authorization.

Here are the benefits you get when joining Nabla:

  • Compensation and Equity: Competitive salary and stock options

  • Comprehensive Health Plans: 100% individual coverage for Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance

  • Time Off: Unlimited paid time off and 11 national holidays

We come to work excited to leverage AI to do more for clinicians. We’re obsessed with our users’ satisfaction and we actively seek out opportunities to engage one-on-one with clinicians to understand how Nabla can better help. We consistently look for ways to improve and do not shy away from doing the work to excel. Whether it’s a feature our users asked for, or a new article for our blog, we prioritize collaboration to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Our #nablabla channel is as active as our #feature-show-off channel, we exercise during the work day at least 3 times a week (yoga, running, pilates, or HIIT, your choice!), enjoy regular off-sites to gather the team, and travel to see each other in places like NY, Paris, San Francisco, and many other vibrant cities.
