The Position: We are looking for a System Administrator, Junior or Journeyman, who will be providing support to PMA-262, the Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education. The range that is given is an estimate and may vary based on contractual constraints. At AM Pierce & Associates, it is our goal to provide equitable compensation to all employees.

The Work Environment: On-Site

The Description:

  • Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility.
  • Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.
  • Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
  • Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Deploy and maintain software applications.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Maintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration.
  • Provide technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices.
  • Secure information systems and applications to current DoD guidance
  • Maintain configuration and security posture of information systems through continuous monitoring and routine security events/reporting.
  • Participate in project planning using Agile methodology.
  • Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
  • Understanding and familiarity of Linux operating system and virtual networking.

Education & Experience:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret (interim to start).
  • Junior Level: One to two (1-2) years of experience in system administration, performing the functional duties for this position.
  • Journeyman Level: At least three (3) years of experience in system administration, performing the functional duties for this position.
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance experience is required (example: scanning and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) execution).
