ServiceNow Systems Administrator, Mid
The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and ServiceNow administration knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We're looking for a system administrator who specializes in ServiceNow platform administration to help us operate and maintain our client's ServiceNow platform.
What You'll Work On:
  • Perform configuration, customization, and routine maintenance of the ServiceNow platform to ensure reliable performance and stability.
  • Support the implementation and testing of new modules, applications, and enhancements based on business requirements.
  • Assist in gathering, documenting, and refining technical specifications and workflows in coordination with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Apply established best practices for ServiceNow administration, including system security, user access, and data integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests related to the ServiceNow platform, escalating complex issues to senior administrators as needed.
  • Configure and maintain core ITSM processes and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), supporting data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance activities to keep the platform current and secure.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and report issues and recommendations for improvement to senior administrators.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow features and updates relevant to assigned duties.
  • Support ServiceNow license management and governance activities such as user, app, API usage, and custom tables.

You'll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning.

You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience in an IT field
  • 3+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Administrator including supporting platform configuration, maintenance, and issue resolution
  • Knowledge of ITSM processes and CMDB administration
  • Ability to implement, test, troubleshoot, and support ServiceNow modules and enhancements
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Compliant Certification
  • DoW 8140 compliant Certification under the Work Role Code 451- Systems Administrator-Intermediate level or higher such as COMPTIA Security+, Cloud+, GIAC GICSP, GSEC, or ISC 2 SSCP Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT field
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HAM, or SAM and ServiceNow integration tools and APIs
  • Experience with ServiceNow On-Prem instance implementation, management, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with ServiceNow scripting languages such as JavaScript, Glide, or GlideScript and web technologies such as HTML, CSS, or AJAX
  • Knowledge of database management and SQL including MariaDB
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and ServiceNow best practices
  • Possession of s trong technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Certification
  • ServiceNow Certifications such as Certified Implementation Specialist Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
