Job description

Title:

Computer Systems Administrator

KBR is seeking a Computer Systems Administrator to support HQ Space Training and Readiness Command located at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida.

A strong candidate will have background provisioning computer accounts, troubleshooting connectivity or configuration issues, and interacting with General/Flag officers and their staffs.

In this position, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for communications equipment, peripherals, networks, and software.
  • Provide technical guidance in use of Microsoft Windows, peripheral/shared drive mapping, browser compatibility / configuration.
  • Configure / maintain government-issued cell phones.
  • Troubleshoot error messages, provide technical solutions, and open trouble tickets.
  • Support users at all STARCOM HQ locations.
  • Support and resolve issues within PWS-specified timelines.
  • Provide systems accounts for NIPRNet and SIPRNET and systems support.
  • Set up or modify user access to the classified internet and e-mail accounts.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity or configuration issues.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this job, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • Security + Certification.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting DoD networks and working with Comm Focal Points.
  • Knowledge of USAF and US Space Force Information Technology policies and procedures.
  • Self-Starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Accustomed to professionally working with senior leaders.
  • Experience with providing technical guidance to users.
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a secure, confined location (i.e., SCIF).

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Headquarters, Combatant Command or MAJCOM/Field Command experience.
