Job Description: FGS, LLC is seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems Administrator to support the Office of Naval Intelligence in Suitland, Maryland. We are seeking a highly capable senior-level systems administrator with multi-disciplinary expertise across SQL, virtualization, server infrastructure, software deployment, and enterprise operations. This position requires a seasoned technical professional capable of sustaining and improving mission-critical intelligence systems, enterprise applications, and secure computing environments.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments
  • Manage virtual infrastructure including VMware, Hyper-V, and related platforms
  • Support and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and other database systems including backups, performance checks, and troubleshooting
  • Perform server builds, upgrades, patching, hardening, and lifecycle refresh actions
  • Deploy software packages, updates, and enterprise applications across user and server environments
  • Monitor system health, storage capacity, backups, and performance metrics
  • Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, application, and connectivity issues
  • Manage Active Directory, group policy, file shares, permissions, and identity services
  • Support disaster recovery, backup restoration, and continuity operations
  • Maintain documentation, configuration baselines, and change records
  • Provide end-user escalation support and rapid response for critical outages
  • Recommend technical improvements to increase reliability, performance, and security

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM Level I Certification
    • All FTEs shall have at least one (1) current professional-level technical certification (excludes intro or associate levels). Applicable vendors/areas include: Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Red Hat Linux; or programming certifications, such as C / C++ Professional Programmer, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) App Builder.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible IT systems administration experience
    • Of the minimum of eight (8) years of required experience, at least four (4) years of experience in performing the foregoing functions on DoD/IC communication systems or networks.
    • At least one (1) year of the foregoing four (4) years total experience shall have been as a team leader or supervisor.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Windows Server administration
    • Linux systems administration
    • SQL Server / database administration support
    • Virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V)
    • Enterprise storage, backups, and server hardware
    • Software deployment and patch management
    • Troubleshooting complex enterprise environments
    • Secure systems in classified or regulated environments

Desired Qualification:
  • Experience supporting the Office of Naval Intelligence, Department of Defense, or Intelligence Community customers
  • Experience with NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, or other classified enclaves
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • Experience with SCCM / MECM / WSUS / endpoint management tools

Education Requirements:
