IT Systems Administrator, Mid
The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and system administrator knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting the U.S. Navy? We're looking for a system administrator with a background in VMware, Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Network Attached Storage, and Amazon Web Services to help us build next gen software for the U.S. military.
As a system administrator on our team, you'll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available, constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies, update, and patch critical systems. You'll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning.
This is an opportunity to gain experience in Cisco Networking, Network encryption, F5, Virtualization, VMware Horizon, Windows Server, Windows 10, Windows Active Directory, Linux. We focus on growing as a team, so we'll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Work with us and resolve daily challenges as we warfighter communications.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience implementing and managing Microsoft Windows Server solutions in an enterprise environment
  • Experience managing user and computer objects within Active Directory
  • Experience with supported services managed and procedures
  • Experience designing, implementing Windows or Linux server operating systems, and support software and services in both physical and VMware infrastructure
  • Knowledge of managing and configuring storage protocols including iSCSI, SAN, and NAS
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Ability to obtain security industry certification such as DoD 8570 for IAT2 level within 30 days of hire

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Networking, including Cisco Switches & Firewall, and Network encryption, including TACLANE
  • Experience with F5 networking software, including Big IP
  • Experience with virtualization, including VMware vSphere
  • Experience with VMware Horizon (VDI)
  • Experience with network storage devices, including SAN and NAS
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory
  • Experience with Linux, including Red Hat
  • Experience with Web server management, including Apache and basic HTML
  • Experience with Vulnerability assessment, including Tenable Nessus and ACAS

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
