Ednovate is committed to serving areas where students traditionally lack access to a quality college-prep education by building tuition-free, safe, high-performing public schools driven to create positive multi-generational change.
We are made up of world travelers, nacho connoisseurs, KPOP business owners, and Beyonce fans. We love LA and OC, and we're our students' biggest cheerleaders. We are looking to hire innovative changemakers who aim to continue our goal of becoming the high school experts across Southern California. Sound like you? Keep reading.
Position Overview
As a Part-Time Operations Assistant at Ednovate, you will be responsible for supporting operational excellence at your school site to ensure that the school is safe and efficient, with resources readily available and aligned to educational priorities to enable the highest level of learning. You will be a friendly face for families, staff, visitors and students in your school's main office, and will also support student data and attendance processes to ensure that every student is in school every day. This role is an exciting opportunity for an organized, flexible, team-oriented individual looking to create positive multigenerational change in a collaborative, results-oriented environment. This is an hourly, non-exempt role that reports to the Dean of Operations.
What You'll Do
  • Support operational excellence. Support the operations team in meeting all school and network goals for operations, including but not limited to maintaining student records, meals, cleanliness, school safety, and technology. Lead daily attendance phone calls, support implementation of attendance intervention process, and support reporting to authorizer and state.
  • Provide top-notch customer service. Provide warm, timely support to staff, students, visitors and families so they have a high-quality experience in every interaction. Manage the main office front desk, including welcoming and directing families and visitors, receiving phone calls and delivering messages, supporting uniform sales, and receiving and managing deliveries.
  • Maintain operational compliance. Maintain accuracy of student data throughout the school year, ensuring student files are complete and up to date, and support preparation for Report Card Pickup. Follow all operational processes (including those for finance, safety, data, and communication) with fidelity to meet authorizer, state, federal and audit requirements.

Who You'll Be
  • Mission-driven professional passionate about increasing college attainment for historically under-represented students
  • Social justice champion committed to promoting educational opportunity for all students and families
  • Entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a workplace characterized by autonomy, flexibility, transparency and accountability
  • Collaborative team player who works well with others from diverse backgrounds, uplifts and celebrates our teammates and engages in healthy debate and feedback to get the best results for students and families
  • Resourceful, persistent learner with a growth mindset, constantly seeking to "find a way or make one" to master your craft and improve results.

We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • Experience working in operations, customer service, and/or in a K-12 school setting, preferred
  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish, required

We're Committed To Giving You
  • A part-time hourly wage ($22 to $30 per hour, commensurate with experience)
  • A place to grow, learn and be a part of the Ednovate family

We know applying for a new job can be daunting, and studies have shown that individuals from historically underrepresented communities may only apply to roles when they meet 100% of the qualifications.
