Purpose
Under direct to general supervision, this part-time Dallas- Fort Worth based role will provide university employees, students, and faculty with technical assistance, support, advice, as well as policy and procedure and orientation on media equipment capabilities and operations.
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and outside constituents.
  • Maintain community area ensuring area presents a professional and tidy appearance.
  • Work with Senior Program Coordinator and Operations Manager ensuring there are no conflicts with academic classes and scheduled events in classroom facility.
  • Assist Senior Program Coordinator and Operations Manager with copy requests, parking inquires, building access inquiries, and other daily office functions.
  • Assist with classes and meetings/functions that require the use of A/V infrastructure, audio, lecture capture (Panopto), visual display or projection, and control system (Crestron) operations.
  • Set up and breakdown of all onsite classrooms and meetings (airwall, tables, chairs, etc.).
  • Interact with faculty, students and staff to respond to end-user requests.
  • Perform other related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma, or equivalent with basic experience with Audio Visual practices and procedures.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and shift focus between tasks. Ability to adapt and maintain flexibility.
  • Demonstrate excellence in organization and time management skills, including the ability to minimize the workload for others.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to provide administrative and student support with discretion, diplomacy, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Strong work ethic and record of punctuality and attendance.
  • Demonstrated ability to receive direction, cooperate with supervisor and co- workers, and work independently.
  • Ability to maintain excellent peer relationships and accomplish routine tasks in a timely manner.
  • Available to work weekends (Friday and Saturday, with an occasional Sunday), and occasional evenings.
  • On-site role based in the Dallas - Fort Worth area

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with university faculty, staff, and students.
  • Experience and familiarity with UT Austin structure, policies, procedures, and administrative functions.
  • Experience with meeting coordination and scheduling.
  • Competency running Zoom/Teams meetings

Salary Range
  • $20.00 per hour, up to 19 hours per week

Working Conditions
  • This is an on-site role based in the Dallas - Fort Worth area
  • Standard office environment with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Use of manual dexterity
  • Occasional climbing of ladders and stairs. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasional work around electrical, mechanical, and heavy equipment.
  • Weekend and evening work hours
  • Business casual attire
