Job description

People Partner Ops Sr Coordinator

People Partner Ops Sr Coordinator is part transactional, part strategist, part coach, part culture champion with a full time "get it done" attitude. You'll support and partner directly with our People Partner Team on everything from new hire orientation, employee experience, the RIOT handbook and policies, performance management and talent development to org design and employee engagement. Think of yourself as the person who connects the dots between great people and great outcomes. As you work alongside other People Partners to support colleagues, you will also be a key member of our broader People Operations Team. You'll roll up your sleeves (figuratively… or literally, we don't judge) and support people partner programs and initiatives that actually work — not just look good on paper. You'll make smart, data-informed calls even when the picture isn't perfectly clear, and you'll support programs and processes that feel like Riot Platforms, not like they came out of an HR textbook. No two days look the same, and that's exactly how we like it. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who geeks out over solving people challenges, thrives in ambiguity, and gets fired up about continuous improvement. Most importantly, you'll see the impact of your work immediately — in a company that's moving fast and growing faster.

What you'll do

  • Support end-to-end onboarding experience that's undeniably Riot Platforms and makes the process deeply personal to our new hires.
  • Make Day 1 unmistakable: Help redesign New Hire Onboarding so every Riot (new hire) leaves Day 1 thinking "I made the best decision of my career joining Riot," with a clear connection to our mission and expectations for how we work.
  • Own the Riot employee handbook from soup to nuts
  • Support field People Partners in all aspects of NHO, onboarding, offboarding, employee experience and engagement, learning, data and people metrics as well as providing support on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent strategy.
  • Work with People Partners to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, build morale, and minimize unwanted turnover.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), process status changes, and manage personnel files and enrollment documents
  • Assist in development and distribution of training materials, coordinating employee development programs, and supporting performance management initiatives
  • Support organizational change initiatives, helping align people strategies with business transformation

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years in People Operations or HR, with experience building and scaling processes in a fast-growing organization
  • People/HR technology tools - HRIS systems, performance management platforms, onboarding applications, engagement survey tools, LMS systems (if applicable), etc.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in supporting cross-functional programs, initiatives, or business operations from planning through execution.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
  • Have an understanding of data interpretation, collection, and creation.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level presentations and communications.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook. Comfortable using AI tools.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
  • Knowledge on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management, to help ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using AI tools, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to improve research, drafting, analysis, or workflow efficiency.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms such as Asana, Jira, Monday.com, or similar tools.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Base pay + bonus + sign-on equity grant.
  • Long-Term Growth: Eligible to participate in Riot's equity incentive programs and share in the success you help build.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Includes a generous company match.
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Multiple medical plan options, including 100% company-paid plans.
  • Wellness & Lifestyle Perks: Enjoy free gym memberships, pet insurance, childcare discounts, and more to support your life both in and out of work.
