Job Description

This is a full-time Senior Operations Dispatcher position with Alta Point Logistics LLC (the “Company”), supporting daily operations for the Company’s delivery of packages to Amazon customers.

Alta Point Logistics is a locally owned and operated Amazon Delivery Service Partner committed to safety, reliable service, and a supportive employee experience. We are looking for an organized, dependable leader who communicates effectively, solves problems quickly, and can successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Senior Operations Dispatcher will oversee daily dispatch activities, monitor route progress, support Delivery Associates, and help ensure deliveries are completed safely and successfully.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily dispatch and end-of-day delivery operations
  • Confirm employee attendance and operational readiness before routes depart
  • Monitor route progress and delivery performance throughout the day
  • Identify potential delays, route disruptions, safety concerns, or service issues and coordinate an appropriate response
  • Communicate effectively with Delivery Associates and provide timely support while they are on the road
  • Coordinate route rescues and other operational adjustments when team members require assistance
  • Provide coaching and feedback related to safety, attendance, service quality, and performance expectations
  • Coordinate with Company leadership, delivery employees, Amazon station personnel, and designated support teams as needed to address daily operational issues
  • Assist with employee scheduling, route assignments, staffing plans, and daily logistics coordination
  • Review operational data and identify performance trends or opportunities for improvement
  • Complete shift handoff reports, incident documentation, and other required operational records
  • Escalate vehicle, employee, customer, or safety concerns to Company leadership promptly
  • Help maintain an organized, professional, and safety-focused work environment
  • Ensure daily operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, safety requirements, and Company policies
  • Perform other operational and leadership duties as assigned
Qualifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, delivery operations, or team leadership is preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to changing operational needs
  • Comfortable using spreadsheets, communication platforms, GPS or routing systems, and operational dashboards
  • Ability to maintain confidential employee and business information
  • Have effective English speaking, reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with an Amazon Delivery Service Partner or another last-mile delivery operation
  • Familiarity with delivery performance metrics and route-management systems
  • Experience coaching or supporting a team of 20 or more employees
  • Experience with employee scheduling, dispatch operations, or fleet coordination
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
