Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Vantage West Credit Union is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support a variety of marketing, community engagement, and content initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience across multiple marketing disciplines, including but not limited to; content creation, social media, data analytics, community partnerships, campaign support, digital marketing, website and project coordination.

This internship is designed to provide meaningful, real-world marketing experience while helping the intern develop professional skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Salary is $19.00/hr. Job Grade, NE 8.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Advertising, or a related field. 
  • Must be located in Arizona

Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements

·   Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·  Strong organizational and time-management abilities

·  Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

·  Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

·   Familiarity with social media platforms

·  Basic understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing best practices

·  Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools a plus

·  Photography, videography, editing, or content creation experience a plus

·  Ability to work independently and collaboratively

LENGTH OF TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT: 

Part time, less than 30 hours/week for 6 months .

    

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:

This job requires the employee to sit or stand for extended periods of time.  Infrequent lifting up to 25 lbs.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Support marketing campaigns and content development across multiple channels: social media, email, website, blog, advertising and community engagement channels while maintaining brand standards and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct competitive research, review data and market analysis to identify industry trends, evaluate competitor activity.
  • Support community engagement, sponsorships, events, and partnership programs through planning, coordination, content creation, and post-event reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams by participating in meetings, managing projects and tasks within marketing systems, and contributing to the successful execution of department priorities and initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
