Position Overview:
The Neenah Public Library is now accepting applications for a friendly, energetic, and knowledgeable Assistant Librarian to work with our Youth Services department.
Position Type:
This is a regular, part-time position. Hours will include day, evening, and weekend hours.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, creative, innovative Youth Services Assistant Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with patrons of all ages, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit. This role is central to helping our community access library resources, programs, and information.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plans, prepares, and implements library programs.
  • Provides friendly and knowledgeable assistance at the Youth Service desk.
  • Books meeting rooms for public or library use.
  • Guides patrons in locating library materials, using the catalog, and accessing digital resources.
  • Helps maintain a welcoming and organized library environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the director or department heads.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of customer service experience.

Schedule:
  • Hours will include day, evening, and weekend hours

Salary and Benefits:
  • Starting Wage: $26.21 per hour
  • Permanent part-time averaging 20 hours per week.
  • Benefits include paid vacation, sick, and holidays.
  • This position is not eligible for health insurance or retirement benefits.
  • This position does not contribute to Social Security. Instead, it contributes to MidAmerica, a Social Security alternative program.
