JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Food Science Department is seeking to hire students to serve as "Food Science Advocates" to assist with department initiatives that center on student outreach and recruitment.Students who are energetic and passionate about their degree pursuits and experiences within the department and the field of Food Science are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities would center on meeting with prospective students and their families to showcase the Food Science Department's facilities and discuss your academic experience(s) within the department (i.e.: Food Science Club, Product Development, Sensory Lab, etc.). Additionally, Food Science Advocates would assist in representing the Food Science Department at events such as Open House, Ag Day, NSO, etc.

It is possible that this position would require some driving to different locations.

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
