The Panel Builder MC at Quality Electrical Systems (QES) is responsible for the hands-on assembly, wiring, and quality inspection of control panels used in industrial automation systems. This role requires a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined individual with a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to interpret schematics. The position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality production within a manufacturing environment.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and bills of materials
- Assemble and wire control panels according to specifications and quality standards
- Cut, strip, crimp, and wire gauges ranging from 26 AWG to 12 AWG
- Mount electrical components including relays, switches, terminal blocks, and circuit breakers
- Fabricate and modify control panel enclosures using hand and power tools
- Apply proper torque using appropriate tools to secure all components
- Perform rework or corrections as directed by the Quality Control (QC) Technician
- Conduct basic QC testing of panels to verify functionality and compliance with design requirements

Knowledge and Experience Requirements- Basic to advanced knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering documentation
- Mechanical aptitude and assembly experience in a shop, warehouse, or manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Preferred:
- Previous experience in electrical panel building, wiring, or assembly
- Background in HVAC systems or industrial automation
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S practices
