JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Director, Physician Services, theย Medicalย Panelย Supervisorย is responsible forย theย development, and thenย ongoing coordination, administration, and operational management of a designatedย panel of physicians and nurse practitionersย (NP)ย to perform independent reviews of medical files. This roleย is responsible forย overseeing a team that will manageย the full physician/NPย lifecycle, including recruitment support, onboarding, panel management, physician/NPย engagement, contract administration, billing coordination, and offboarding.ย ย The Medical Panel Supervisor is responsible only for the management of theย physician/NPย panel, andย is not responsible for the management of the Medicalย Review process itself.ย ย 

Acting as the primary operational contact for participating physicians/NPs, theย Medical Panelย Supervisor works collaboratively withย the Supervisor,ย MRP Review Team, as well asย Physician Services, Operations, Finance, and clinical leadership to ensure physicians/NPsย are successfully integrated into the program and receive ongoing administrative support throughout their tenure.ย 

The successful candidate will proactively manageย physician/NPย panel capacityย (based on demand),ย maintainย accurateย physician/NPย records, coordinate agreements and invoicing, supportย physician/NPย recruitment initiatives,ย monitorย operational readiness, andย identifyย opportunities to improveย physician/NPย experience and program performance. This position plays a key role in ensuring the long-term success, sustainability, and growth of theย Medical Reviewย program.ย ย 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Physician/NPย Recruitment & Program Growthย 

  • Support recruitment activities to build and expand the physician/NPย panel, as per theย required qualifications as set out by the Medical Review team.ย 

  • Coordinate interviews and candidate communications.ย 

  • Assistย with workforce planning and succession planning.ย 

  • Secure contracts with physicians and NPs, including allย verification of required licensing and certification.ย 

Physician/NPย Onboarding & Coordinationย 

  • Coordinate all onboarding activities forย physicians/NPsย entering the program.ย 

  • Manage status of individualized onboarding plans and timelines.ย 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact forย physicians/NPsย throughout the onboarding process.ย 

  • Schedule orientation sessions, program introductions, and required meetings.ย 

  • Coordinateย physician/NPย training on program platforms, clinical workflows, policies, and operational processes.ย 

  • Monitor onboarding milestones and proactivelyย identifyย and resolve delays.ย 

Physician/NPย Panel Managementย 

  • Maintain the activeย physician/NPย panel.ย 

  • Manageย physician/NPย schedules and program participation.ย 

  • Monitorย physician/NPย statusย (Active, dormant,ย departing, andย departedย physicians/NPs).ย 

  • Monitorย physician/NPย capacity and measure it against program demand.ย 

  • Maintain records of provider profiles and credentials.ย ย 

Contract & Financial Administrationย 

  • Coordinate executionย and maintenanceย ofย physician/NPย agreements.ย ย 

  • Coordinateย invoicingย forย servicesย rendered.ย 

  • Liaise withย Financeย Accounts Payableย regardingย payment.ย ย 

Physician/NPย Relationsย 

  • Act as the first point of contact forย physicians/NPsย enrolled in the program.ย 

  • Resolveย physician/NP-related operational issues.ย 

  • Coordinate with Operations, IT, EMR, Credentialing, and Billing.ย 

  • Supportย physician/NPย engagement and retention.ย 

Program Administration and Process Improvementย 

  • Maintain dashboards and produce reports as needed.ย 

  • Track onboarding metrics andย identifyย opportunities to improve onboarding efficiency andย physician/NPย experience.ย 

  • Support ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency, consistency, andย physician/NPย experience.ย 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.ย 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.ย 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities whileย maintainingย attention to detail.ย

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEย 

  • Minimum 3โ€“5 years of experience in project coordination, executive administration, healthcare operations, recruitment coordination, or a related role.ย 

  • Medical Sales / Physician Management experience is an assetย
