Our team is reimagining a 60-year-old industry-bringing new technologies, comprehensive services, and an inspired vision to financial advisors. Supported by our incredible investors, we've grown from a small Detroit-based team in 2020 to over 100 team members dispersed across the country.
We are: Empowering Leaders. Client Advocates. Entrepreneurial Champions.
Our team is a blend of industry experts and technologists building a better business, together. We're in it for the long haul. Are you looking to be part of a dedicated, dispersed team where you can architect your impact and shape the company's vision? Join us at Signal!
OUTBOUND SALES CONSULTANT
At Signal, an Outbound Sales Consultant, or "Client Concierge", is an integral part of our Consumer Division, a team focused on helping client prospects find financial professionals to assist with their retirement planning needs. As a Client Concierge, you are responsible for working leads to help assess their needs and sell them on the value of meeting with a financial professional who can help them get product specific information and create a financial plan for retirement. This position is all about active listening, building rapport, effectively selling the value of the program offering and efficiently working a pipeline of leads.

  • Update Salesforce with relevant information in discovery and update status throughout the sales process, including thorough and complete note taking
  • Reach out to leads captured and nurtured by the Marketing Team to book meetings with independent financial professionals
  • Provide feedback to the Marketing Team regarding quality of marketing-sourced leads

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN TEAM MEMBERS
Intentional Communicator

Growth Mindset
You believe that there are always opportunities to improve and learn, especially in the face of mistakes, failure, or setbacks. You see potential everywhere, and actively take steps to learn and grow.
Distributed Work
You are comfortable working in a distributed, asynchronous environment. We recognize that being a fully-remote team comes with its own rewards and challenges, and we are committed to building a robust and continually-evolving remote workplace.
Customer Centric
You're obsessed with creating an unparalleled customer experience. You lead with compassion, anticipate customer needs and wants, and bring ease and calm to all interactions-knowing every customer interaction is an opportunity to amaze.
MUST HAVES
  • Life and Health insurance licensed, required
  • Prior experience as a sales development rep with a track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Two or more years of industry experience working in the independent financial distribution space, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, preferred
  • Able to think strategically and tactically; able to maintain a positive attitude in the face of criticism, rejection, or failure
  • High integrity and ability to establish trusting relationships
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's own workload

WHAT WE VALUE @ SIGNAL
These are the values that drive how we operate and make decisions.
We're obsessed with finding a better way. Never settle for less.
We amaze every client, every time. A great company is built one client at a time.
We act with a sense of urgency. We use our best judgment to act urgently on the right things at the right time.
We raise our level of awareness. Everything starts with awareness. We're curious and alert to what is happening around us.
We find inches everywhere around us. There are thousands of opportunities to make an impact. We take those opportunities and act.
We do the right thing. Sticking to the highest standard of integrity is not optional.
We have strong opinions, loosely held. It's not about WHO is right, it's about WHAT is right.
Simplicity is Genius. Simplicity doesn't just clarify; it makes things better for everyone. It's that simple.
Ideas are valued, execution is worshiped. Great ideas get you to the 50-yard line; outstanding execution gets you into the end zone.
We are the "they". There is no "they". We are empowered to fix things, to be proactive, to find a solution.
