Position Objective

The Operations Manager supports daily Profit Center operations with a strong focus on:

  • Exceptional customer service
  • Employee development and engagement
  • Fleet utilization and asset quality
  • Operational efficiency and profit maximization

This role partners closely with the Profit Center Manager to ensure consistent execution of Sunbelt standards while maintaining a safe, wellorganized facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Profit Center Manager to develop and maintain rental operation standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, OSHA, DOT, and safety regulations
  • Maintain customer service levels above company standards
  • Deliver a consistent service message across all customerfacing team members
  • Train, coach, and develop rental operations staff
  • Improve equipment quality and reduce driver loading time
  • Manage fleet quality control and associated rental costs
  • Set clear, measurable objectives and motivate teams through ongoing evaluation and feedback
  • Maximize operational efficiencies and recommend process improvements
  • Manage yard operations to ensure safety, organization, and productivity
  • Conduct safety audits, training, and daily/weekly truck inspections
  • Oversee HR administration including scheduling, payroll, and documentation
  • Explain billing procedures clearly to customers to build trust and transparency
  • Assist customers in determining rental needs through strong product knowledge
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management
  • Lead daily meetings to review objectives, safety topics, and priorities
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe premises
QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • 3+ years in the rental equipment or construction industry
  • 1+ year of operations, retail, or people management experience
Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong leadership and teambuilding abilities
  • Excellent organizational and problemsolving skills
  • Proven ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions
  • Solid working knowledge of construction equipment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, internet systems, and Wynne (or similar ERP systems)

Base Pay Range

74,411.00 - 102,315.40
