Job Summary:

The Operations Head will act as a senior operations leader responsible for driving operational excellence across Group Bayport's manufacturing and fulfillment operations in the United States.

The role will be based in Suwanee, Georgia; with primary responsibility for the Atlanta facility (approximately 90% of focus), while providing strategic oversight and operational leadership to the Phoenix and Conecticut locations.

This position will lead and integrate all core operational functions including Production, Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality, Compliance, EHS, and HR (through a dotted-line reporting structure). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering operational performance, scalability, customer satisfaction, profitability, compliance, and organizational capability across the U.S. business.

This is a highly hands-on leadership role requiring an experienced operator who can strategically lead while remaining deeply engaged in day-to-day execution.


Key Responsibilities


Operational Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing and operations across all U.S. facilities.
  • Drive daily operational performance, productivity, quality, customer service, and profitability targets.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between Production, Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality, Compliance, EHS, and HR functions.
  • Establish operating rhythms, performance reviews, and accountability mechanisms across sites.
  • Build a culture of ownership, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.


Plant & Manufacturing Management

  • Provide direct leadership to plant operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and delivery.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes, workflow efficiency, labor productivity, and equipment utilization.
  • Drive capacity enhancement initiatives to support current and future business growth.
  • Ensure manufacturing operations consistently meet customer commitments and service-level expectations.
  • Maintain world-class operational standards across all facilities.


Strategic Partnership with India Headquarters

  • Act as the key U.S. operations interface with India HQ.
  • Collaborate on operational challenges, business planning, growth initiatives, capacity expansion, automation projects, and long-term strategy.
  • Drive implementation of global operational practices and performance standards.
  • Support integration and alignment across global teams.


Production Planning, Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Oversee production planning and scheduling to maximize throughput and customer responsiveness.
  • Lead procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics functions.
  • Improve supply chain efficiency, inventory turns, lead times, and cost management.
  • Ensure continuity of operations through effective capacity and demand planning.


Quality, Compliance & EHS

  • Drive a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all facilities operate in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Lead quality assurance, audit readiness, workplace safety, environmental compliance, and risk management initiatives.
  • Establish measurable quality and safety performance targets.


Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to address operational delivery challenges.
  • Develop solutions that improve customer experience, order fulfillment, turnaround times, and service levels.
  • Support business growth through operational responsiveness and execution excellence.


People Leadership

  • Build, coach, and develop high-performing operations leadership teams.
  • Provide leadership oversight to HR-related initiatives through a dotted-line management structure.
  • Foster a culture that combines accountability, innovation, agility, and teamwork.


Growth & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, cost reduction, and scalability.
  • Lead lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Support future expansion projects, new facility integration, and operational transformation efforts.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs that support long-term business growth.


Required Qualifications

We are seeking an operations leader who combines strategic thinking with strong execution capability and has personally managed complex manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading from the front, spending time on the production floor, solving real-time operational challenges, and building scalable systems for growth.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • MBA or advanced operations/manufacturing qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 15-20 years of manufacturing and operations experience.
  • Minimum 8-10 years in senior leadership positions such as Plant Head, Operations Head, Manufacturing Director, Site Leader, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-functional manufacturing operations.
  • Experience managing multi-site operations is highly preferred.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing operational budgets and profitability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
