Description READVERTISED CONTINUOUS UNTIL FILLED This position will be assigned to the Regional Investigative Office located in Cleveland, Georgia. This is a sensitive government position. The GBI follows the Federal statute regarding drug use and is a drug-free workplace.

Although some locations (domestic and foreign) have legalized recreational drug use, applicants who use or have used drugs or controlled substances will be subject to disqualification from employment with the GBI. Employment for the selected candidate(s) is contingent upon the successful completion of a GBI background investigation including criminal, credit and driver's history checks, polygraph examination, fingerprinting, and drug screening.

Job Duties DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision in a non-sworn position, performs administrative and investigative support duties for the Regional Investigative Office in Cleveland, Georgia. Administrative duties include maintaining all administrative office files, serving as records management coordinator for the work unit, and generating various types of agent and activity reports.

Incumbent will open and close the office at the designated established times. In addition, the incumbent performs a variety of purchasing functions that includes ordering supplies, invoice preparation, and processing payments utilizing the Agency's financial system. Investigative support duties include initiating inquiries on computerized criminal history record information and providing written intelligence data from these inquiries.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Open and close office daily during normal business hours. Administer day-to-day office operations. Process invoices and payments for office staff.

Perform typing and dictation for office staff. Manage the office purchasing card, including purchasing supplies, maintaining accurate records of transactions, receipts and adhering to purchasing card policies and procedures. Involves sedentary work mainly.

CORE COMPETENCIES: Good time management skills. Ability to perform office coordinator functions and customer service-related tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Essential knowledge of operating office equipment to include but not limited to computers, copier, fax machines, scanners, answering telephone, and filing. Established experience in using Microsoft Office Suite software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The incumbent will occasionally be required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel.

Occasionally light lifting/or moving boxes or supplies may be required. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position requires the incumbent to work in an office setting which includes shared office space with other administrative professionals. NOTE: This position may require some travel and operating a state vehicle.

A valid Georgia driver's license is required. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree from an accredited college AND One year of related experience. OR Three years of related experience.
