Contract Overview
This position supports the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) and the 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW) by coordinating and delivering healthcare education, readiness training, and professional development programs. The Training Coordinator works closely with military leadership, healthcare professionals, educators, and program stakeholders to support curriculum planning, continuing education, program evaluation, and mission readiness initiatives.
The role combines clinical expertise, education, program coordination, data analysis, and healthcare training to ensure the successful execution of USAFSAM's educational mission.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Training Coordinator with a clinical healthcare background to support the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare education and readiness training programs.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Nationally Registered Paramedic with strong instructional, organizational, and program management skills. This individual will collaborate with military leadership, clinical subject matter experts, and education teams to coordinate healthcare training, manage continuing education programs, analyze program performance, and improve training effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license or National Registry Paramedic certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS/ACLS) certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing, emergency medicine, trauma, or related healthcare experience.
  • Experience working in healthcare education, clinical instruction, or training coordination.
  • Knowledge of emergency medicine, trauma care, and patient management principles.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and other productivity applications.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering clinical or healthcare training programs.
  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) or similar instructor experience.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (Blackboard, Genius, Moodle, or similar).
  • Experience with continuing medical education (CME) or continuing nursing education (CNE) programs.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force, or military medical training environments.
  • Experience with program evaluation, reporting, and healthcare data analytics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support healthcare education and readiness training programs.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee training activities for military healthcare personnel.
  • Develop, maintain, and update healthcare training materials and educational resources.
  • Coordinate continuing nursing and medical education programs and associated documentation.
