Job description

Location: El Paso, Texas
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Must have availability to support additional shifts , when necessary
Compensation: $52,020.00 annually
Requirement: Must be able to obtain PGIS security license

Security Training Coordinator

The Security Training Coordinator is responsible for implementing on-site training programs in according to training requirements. The STC is responsible for maintaining a master training matrix to ensure all site and statutory training requirements are recorded. The STC will 

work closely with the Regional Training Coordinator (RTC) as required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinates site training plan in conjunction with the RTC.
  • Provides clear and concise guidance, materials and instructions to security staff as required.
  • Maintain a comprehensive current data base on all training activities, to include participants, results and completion rates.
  • Oversee training and exercises as necessary for site security to maintain and improve levels of proficiency and readiness.
  • Identify, report and document site training opportunities to SOM.
  • Direct and oversee all training activities conducted by supervisors with their assigned security staff.
  • Ensure all aspects of the onboarding training program are implemented and recorded.
  • Routinely measure and assess the proficiency and effectiveness of training to ensure vendor and site expectations are implemented.
  • Uniformed security personnel as per global standards.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, emergency management, adult education, or a related field preferred.
  • Formal coursework or certifications in instructional design, training delivery, or workforce development is a plus.
Experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in security operations, with direct exposure to training, coaching, or mentoring security personnel.
  • Experience coordinating or delivering training programs in physical security, corporate security, healthcare security, or similar environments.
  • Prior experience developing lesson plans, training materials, or conducting classroom and hands-on instruction preferred.
Training & Instructional Skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective instructional methodologies.
  • Ability to design, schedule, and facilitate initial, refresher, and remedial training programs.
  • Experience conducting drills, tabletop exercises, and scenario-based training.
  • Ability to evaluate training effectiveness and maintain training records and certifications.
Security & Operational Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of security operations, post orders, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with emergency response protocols, use-of-force guidelines, and incident management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory or contractual training requirements (e.g., licensing, OSHA, healthcare or site-specific mandates).
Compliance & Documentation
  • Experience tracking compliance with mandatory training, certifications, and licensing requirements.
  • Ability to maintain accurate training records, audit documentation, and reports.
  • Understanding of risk management principles related to training deficiencies.
Communication & Facilitation Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for instruction, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences and adjust training delivery to different experience levels.
  • Professional presence and confidence when facilitating training sessions
