Position Summary

The National Sales Manager leads Point Blank Enterprises, Inc.’s domestic commercial sales function by directing Sales Representatives, Shooters, and Distributor Trainers, strengthening distributor relationships, and helping execute sales and marketing plans for commercial body armor and related protective products. The role combines field sales leadership, channel management, market development, training coordination, and cross‑functional problem‑solving to support revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and brand positioning. National sales manager responsibilities include leading the sales teams, implementing sales strategies, monitoring performance, identifying new opportunities, and maintaining key customer relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and oversee the daily activities and performance of Domestic Sales Representatives, Shooters, and Distributor Trainers in assigned markets.
  • Partner with the President, Commercial Business to develop, communicate, and execute national sales and marketing strategies for domestic commercial channels, including goals, priorities, and territory focus.
  • Identify target market opportunities, growth segments, and competitive positioning strategies with Sales Representatives across assigned territories.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with top domestic distributors and serve as the primary liaison between distributors, Sales Representatives, and internal leadership.
  • Review and approve product sample requests, field support needs, and other sales enablement resources identified by Sales Representatives.
  • Maintain monthly reports on target markets, pipeline activity, account development, sales performance, and competitive intelligence.
  • Coordinate product, sales, and distributor training with Sales Representatives, Shooters, Distributor Trainers, and distributor partners to ensure consistent product knowledge and messaging.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating ballistic shoot presentations, product demonstrations, trade events, and other customer‑facing sales activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitor products, market trends, pricing pressures, and customer requirements to support strategic decisions.
  • Work closely with Customer Service and other internal departments to identify service issues, resolve customer concerns, and improve the overall customer experience.
  • Provide ongoing recommendations to the President, Commercial Business regarding sales effectiveness, channel performance, market penetration, and improvements to the sales and marketing plan.
  • Ensure Sales Representatives understand priorities, expectations, product positioning, and sales initiatives, and hold the team accountable for execution.
  • Support compliance with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and all other applicable procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or marketing, including responsibility for strategic planning and execution.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales leadership, supervisory, or people‑management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high‑performance sales teams, analyzing sales performance, and executing national or multi‑territory sales strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of sales planning, account development, distributor or channel management, and customer relationship management principles.
  • Ability to understand technical product features, specifications, and customer application requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally in English, prepare formal correspondence, negotiate, and deliver presentations.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and follow‑through skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems used for reporting, communication, and sales planning.
  • Manufacturing, protective equipment, law enforcement, tactical, or defense‑related industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position operates in a professional office environment with regular interaction with field sales personnel, distributors, and customers. The role may also involve attendance at demonstrations, ballistic shoots, trade events, and customer sites, and may require the ability to travel frequently and move product samples or training materials as needed.
